Objectives

- The overall purpose of the Euroweek Conference is to add value to students' studies by exposing them to working in an international environment.

- The Euroweek will enhance their European employment opportunities by practical exposure to current developments in the field of Business, Engineering, Information Technology, Tourism, Marketing, Management…

- The Euroweek will give the participants a real 'hands on' feel for some important aspects of their field of study, as they will develop possible solutions / conclusions to a specific problem in a European context.

Organisation

The Euroweek, one of the most noteworthy activities of PRIME Networking, has been running for eleven years now.

Each year an overall theme is selected for the conference. Students of the participating member institutions are invited to develop research projects (conceptual/ theoretical/ applied level) focusing on specific issues within this overall theme. They do so in small teams under the supervision of their lecturers.

At the Conference students have the opportunity to present the results / conclusions / solutions of the reserach they have conducted. They can do so in workshops, seminars and poster sessions.

A panel of professionals from both the public and private sectors will judge the value of each project. Evidence of the research phase will be taken into consideration.

Scientific Seminar

During the Euroweek half a day is taken out to hold a Scientific Seminar for participating staff on a topic related to the Euroweek theme. Four to five speakers offer a presentation in up to 20 minutes each, followed by a discussion.

Every participating institution is invited to delegate one staff member to make a paper and offer a presentation.

Staff members of two institutions can join forces for one intercultural paper and presentation. But papers can be submitted for publication without the wish to present them at the seminar. If more than 5 presentations are selected by the Selection Board parallel sessions will be held.
